The Lilongwe City Council says it is set to roll out upgrading of roads under Phase II of the City Council's roads upgrading program in September. The City Council's Public Relations Officer Tamara Chafunya says the Phase II will commence in September, immediately after completion of Phase I by the end of this month.
Chafunya expressed the Council's satisfaction with the pace at which roads under Phase I had been constructed and commended Contractors and residents in various areas for their cooperation. Phase II of the roads upgrading program is funded to the tune of K2.5bn. Roads targeted in this phase inlcude NCIC-ZBS-Ngwenya, Biwi-Chidzanja-Area 23, Chinsapo Police-Nguluwe Primary School, OIBM-Malangalanga and Area 25-Dzenza road.
